The 3rd Asia International School Conference RAISE 2020 was held in Shanghai between 31 October and 2 November. Over 120 guests and school representatives from more than 20 countries discussed topics relating to school management, talent training, curriculum integration, social innovation and lifelong learning, future learning trends and technology-driven educational reforms. A lot of focus was also devoted to conversations about teachers' professional development and building harmony between school education and attitudes toward education at home.

As one of the selected international education recruitment providers, Eurus representatives attended the RAISE conference for the second consecutive year and were featured alongside other top providers at the exhibition centre. During the two-day conference, we received a large number of recruitment enquiries from international schools, as well as a lot of personal questions from attending international school practitioners.

The school recruitment requirements include hiring Chinese and international principals, academic leaders and Chinese and international teachers. The schools pay particular importance to multicultural awareness, experience and professional background when hiring for management positions, whilst the requirements for subject teachers focus more on professional background and previous teaching experience. The school leaders who spoke to Eurus representatives were impressed by Eurus’ rigorous and efficient recruitment process and their strong data pool of bilingual and international education talents.

The professional development of teachers in international schools was one of the key themes of this conference. David Mansfield, Dean of the Buckingham International School of Education, delivered a keynote speech on how to successfully train local international teachers in an era of rapid change at the "Forum on Facilitating Teachers' Career Development". At the same time, he highlighted how the Buckingham International School of Education brings the following high-quality training and continuing education projects to the teachers at international schools:

PGCE for International Trainees

British Teacher Qualification Certification (Assessment Only QTS)

Master of Educational Leadership and Management

Master of Education

Master of Education (Teaching and Learning)

Master of Residential Education
